Distiller Grains

A co-product of the ethanol production process is distillers grains. Distillers grains are rich in cereal proteins, fat (energy), minerals, and vitamins. They are an excellent source of digestible protein and energy. We market our distillers grains under the label of Hawkeye Gold. Hawkeye offers two types of distillers grains:

Dried Distillers Grains (DDGs)

Dried Distillers Grains with soluble 90% dry matter
Minimum Crude Protein 26%
Minimum Crude Fat 9%
Maximum Crude Fiber 15%
Maximum Ash 5.5%

“Modified” Wet Distillers Grains (MDGs)

“Modified” Wet Distillers Grains with solubles – 50% dry matter. It is important not to
confuse this product with “Wet” distillers grains (centrifuge cake) or gluten. For more
